A lake holiday programmed for children

This holiday is planned for children and is the perfect combination of culture, fun and outdoor activities. Discover the beauty of Lake Maggiore with tours on scenic railways, boat trips, visits to natural parks and zoos – these activities are designed to make holidays special for children.

1st Day: arrive in Stresa and settle in the Meeting Hotel (3-star). Dinner and overnight stay

2nd Day: the Borromean Islands are today’s destination. Younger tourists will enjoy the puppet show on Isola Madre and will be delighted with the proud, white peacocks strutting round the gardens of Isola Bella. A stop on Isola Pescatori to see the fishnets hanging up to dry and to taste dishes prepared with lake fish will make this day really special.

3rd Day: today you will visit Stresa. The little tourists’ train will take you from the lakeshore for a short tour of the historic centre and then on to Villa Pallavicino, that has a small zoo with chamoises, zebras, flamingos, goats etc.  After a pleasant walk under century-old trees you will make your way back to the town centre, for a walk on the lakefront, past historic hotels.

4th Day: the Safari Park in Varallo Pombia is today’s destination. There is plenty to do in this game park, beginning with a  “safari”, as you drive through an enclosure with ferocious animals, followed by a quiet visit to the animals of the farm, then stepping a long way back in time in the dinosaur park. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the games and show area! Today is the day to become a child again with your own children.

5th Day: relaxation is scheduled for today. Go to the beach or to one of the swimming pools of the area. If you like climbing, today is the day to tackle Mount Mottarone. Our younger guests will be delighted by the cable car!

6th Day: today is a day for adventure, so the destination is Baveno’s Adventure Park. In this game park there are plenty of thrilling and exciting things to do, including tightrope walking, rope bridges, gangways and ladders, as well as an artificial rock wall to climb, acrobatic jump facilities and a cyclo-cross circuit. Spend the afternoon by the lake and  let young children amuse themselves on the beach – the pebbles are great for building dams and to throw into the water.

7th Day: enjoy a rich breakfast before returning home.
