PROGRAMME
DAY 1
Arrival in Stresa and check-in at the hotel.
Dinner in a gourmet restaurant in the heart of the old town.
Overnight stay.
DAY 2
Your day will be spent exploring the fascinating Borromean Islands.
Isola Madre is the largest of the islands, located just off the coast of Pallanza on the other side of the gulf. It is known for its particular botanical garden with rare species of plants and trees from all corners of the world.
You will then stop in Isola Pescatori, the only island which still belongs to the people and is mostly inhabited by fishermen, hence the name Fisherman's Island. Stroll through the narrow streets and browse its typical shops.
Last stop is Isola Bella, Lake Maggiore's crown jewel, with its unmistakeable silhouette like a ship floating on the waters. Lunch at Ristolounge Elvezia on the island and in the afternoon visit the Borromeo palace with its countless art treasures and the baroque garden divided on ten terraces.
Dinner at your own leisure and overnight stay.
DAY 3
Breakfast in the hotel and check-out.
In the morning, visit to the most romantic of the Italian lakes: Lake Orta!
Transfer by your own vehicle to Lake Orta.
The picturesque town of Orta San Giulio offers historical buildings with frescoes, cosy cafès and restaurants and you can't miss a boat trip to San Giulio's Island where you could walk along its charminjg streets and admire the grandiose basilica.
Return home at your own leisure.
