Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Stresa

Arrive in Stresa independently and check in to your hotel.

After settling in, enjoy some free time to explore the elegant town centre or stroll along the lakeside promenade.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at a restaurant in the heart of Stresa.

Overnight.

Day 2 – The Chestnut Trail and the Borromean Islands

After breakfast, set off along one of the most scenic hiking routes on Lake Maggiore.

Starting in Stresa, you will follow the famous Chestnut Trail, walking through peaceful woodlands, meadows, historic churches and small villages while enjoying magnificent views across the Borromean Gulf.

Your walk ends in the elegant village of Belgirate, where a private motorboat awaits to take you on a relaxing cruise to the Borromean Islands.

You may choose to visit either Isola Bella, renowned for its magnificent palace and terraced gardens, or Isola dei Pescatori, the only permanently inhabited island, before returning to Stresa by boat.

Overnight.

Day 3 – From Cannero to Cannobio

After breakfast and check-out, travel independently to Cannero Riviera, where your second hike begins.

The panoramic trail follows the western shore of Lake Maggiore through forests and scenic viewpoints before reaching the medieval hamlet of Carmine Superiore, one of the hidden gems of the northern lake.

Continue through ancient chestnut woods to Cannobio, a charming lakeside town known for its colourful waterfront, historic centre and lively piazzas.

After some free time, return to Cannero aboard a scheduled ferry, enjoying the lake from a completely different perspective.
